Rachel Beer is a visual artist based in the Midwest. She received her BFA in drawing and printmaking from the University of Oklahoma and her MFA in printmaking from Northern Illinois University. She recently completed a yearlong residency as the 2023/2024 Printmaking Artist in Residence at the Lawrence Arts Center in Lawrence Kansas, where she currently resides. Rachel's work combines the subtle language of observational drawing with the unpredictable nature of printmaking to cultivate an attentive gaze towards the often overlooked "weedy" spaces that exist both within and around us.
